In a statement published this morning, the Presidency of the Republic announced the appointment of Taieb Dridi to the post of Governor of Jendouba, replacing Hichem Hsoumi, who had been in office since September 8, 2024.
The dismissal comes within the framework of a reassessment of the regional administrative action carried out by the presidency.
This decision was made at the end of a meeting held the day before at the Palais de Carthage between President Kais Saied, the Minister of the Interior Khaled Nouri, and the Secretary of State for National Security, Sofiene Bessadok.
It is part of a dynamic of reshuffle aimed at “strengthening the effectiveness of the action of the state at the local level”, according to the official press release.
Originally from Medjez El Bab (governorate of Béja), Taieb Dridi graduated in physical sciences. He made his start in territorial administration as Degache delegate, in the governorate of Tozeur. He also exercised as the first delegate in charge of the management of matters of the Jandouba governorate.
