The accusation chamber specializing in financial corruption affairs to the Tunis Court of Appeal decided to send Sihem Ben Sedrine and Mabrouk Korchid to the criminal corruption chamber, within the framework of two cases in connection with the activities of the Truth and Dignity (IVD).
The first case concerns a conciliation agreement concluded with the Tunisian residing in France Abdelmajid Boudin, as part of the Franco-Tunisian bank file. The accusation chamber decided to issue a warrant for him against him in this case.
The second case relates to a conciliation agreement concluded by the truth and dignity with Slim Chiboub, with a refusal of its release.
Sihem Bensedrine, former president of the Truth and Dignity Instance (IVD), had been placed in pre-trial detention on August 1, 2024 as part of a case linked to charges of false, falsification, abuse of power and industrial advantages related to the final IVD report, especially on the section of the Franco-Tunisian bank. She had started a hunger strike in January 2025 to denounce what she considered a judicial relentlessness. On February 19, 2025, Tunisian justice finally ordered its release.
For his part, Mabrouk Korchid, former Minister of State and Land Affairs, was prosecuted in a separate case also linked to IVD activities, but he is currently free But would be based abroad and continues to intervene in the media as a lawyer and politician. No private measure of freedom has been pronounced against him to date.
