On the occasion of the Economic Forum Investment Africa 2025 held in Tunis on September 26, the Italian ambassador Alessandro PRNAS stressed Rome’s desire to intensify his economic presence in Tunisia. This bilateral partnership, already solid, also aims to open common perspectives towards the African market.
During his intervention, the Italian diplomat put forward the role that Tunisia can play as a strategic partner for Italy. He recalled that bilateral relations, long -established, are constantly strengthening through multiple cooperation in the economic, commercial and academic sectors.
Already important exchanges
In 2024, the value of trade between the two countries reached 21 billion dinars. Italy is thus positioned as the second economic partner in Tunisia and as the second destination for Tunisian exports after France.
This Investment Africa 2025 forum has brought together institutional, economic and academic representatives to promote business opportunities between Tunisia, Italy and the African continent. The event is a joint initiative of Consect, confresses Italia, conforms Tunisia and Delta Center Tunisia, with the support of the CTICI and the Italian Trade Agency.
This 1st edition aims to promote solid partnerships between Italian companies and Tunisian operators, while creating a framework conducive to bilateral exchanges.
