The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, received, yesterday Wednesday afternoon, the head of the government, Sarra Zaâfrani Zenzeri, as well as the Minister of Finance, Mechkaât Selma Khaldi.

In a statement, the Presidency of the Republic said that this meeting focused on several files, including the financial balances of the State and the question of confiscated property, which has been pending so far or dispersed between several bodies, which is no longer acceptable, in addition to the overruns it has known.

The Head of State highlighted the need to develop a new approach to definitively close this file, affirming that there is no question of yielding the slightest millime of public funds, because they belong to the people, and that it is time that it recovers them. Their restitution will contribute to the creation of wealth and the establishment of the so much sought after justice, he insisted.

In addition, he emphasized “the need to prepare for text projects so that they are clear, free from all ambiguity and are part of the legislative revolution, thus contributing to the process of construction and development”.
