The Tunisian president received Massad Boulos, advisor to the American president, for an exchange on burning regional files

The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, received this Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the Palais de Carthage, Massad Boulos, principal advisor to the American president for Arab affairs, the Middle East and Africa.

This meeting made it possible to tackle several topical questions, at the forefront of which the crimes committed against the Palestinian people, but also the threats linked to terrorism in all its forms, as well as the situation in the whole of the Arab region.

Unbearable images shown to the US advisor

During this meeting with the adviser of the American president, Kaïs Saïed strongly denounced the crimes committed against the Palestinians. The Tunisian head of state has shown his interlocutor overwhelming photos of hungry or dying Palestinian children, denouncing unbearable scenes in the 21st century.

He described these acts of crimes against humanity and criticized the inaction of the international community, whose legitimacy, according to him, is disintegrated. The president condemned the policy of extermination and colonization in Palestine, reaffirming that the whole Palestinian territory legitimately returns to his people, with Al Quds occupied as the capital of a future independent state.

Tunisia works to extend its strategic partnerships

The Head of State has reaffirmed, on this occasion, his attachment to the principle of national sovereignty and the right of peoples to freely decide their destiny, stressing that internal crises within Arab countries must be regulated by their peoples themselves, without foreign intervention, whatever the pretext.

Kaïs Saïed also indicated that Tunisia is working to extend its strategic partnerships in a logic of balance and defense of national interests, thus responding to the aspirations of the Tunisian people.
