On the occasion of the second anniversary of the operation “Flood of Al-Aqsa”, hundreds of Tunisian students and students demonstrated on Tuesday morning on Avenue Habib Bourguiba in Tunis. They expressed their support for the Palestinian people and denounced the pursuit of the Israeli occupation, while calling for unity in the face of Zionism.
Leaving from the municipal theater to the call of the General Union of Students of Tunisia (UGET), the demonstrators chanted slogans in favor of the liberation of Palestine and the support for the armed resistance. Participants have brandished signs denouncing “American terrorism” and demanding the criminalization of normalization with Israel.
Other messages, visible on the Palestinian banners and flags, glorified Palestinian and Arabic resistance and called to the boycott of companies accused of supporting Israel in Tunisia.
The march took place in peace, under the supervision of an important security device deployed along avenue Habib Bourguiba. This event is part of a series of solidarity initiatives carried out across the country to mark the date of October 7, 2023, the start of the “Al-Aqsa deluge” operation led by Hamas against Israel, which has turned the regional scene upside down.
