The Tunisian real estate platform Mubawab revealed that 62 % of Tunisians residing abroad show a marked interest in the purchase of real estate during their return to Tunisia during the summer period.
In a shared publication on its official Facebook page, the platform specifies that real estate research carried out by Tunisian diaspora members reveal diversified preferences:
- 18 % rather favor the purchase of land.
- 20 % of them are attracted by the acquisition of high -end houses.
These figures bear witness to the deep attachment of Tunisians from abroad to their native country, but also their desire to invest in the long term, especially in a sector perceived as stable and carrier.
This summer trend, which coincides with the high tourist season and the massive return of expatriates, highlights the strategic importance of the diaspora in the dynamism of the Tunisian real estate market.
The platform concludes that this sustained interest is indicative of an economic potential often under-exploited, implicitly calling to better structure and support real estate investments of Tunisians abroad.
