Good news for swimming enthusiasts and bride and groom in search of an unusual place: the municipal pool of the Belvedere in Tunis reopens its doors to the public from this Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 8 a.m., announced Khaled Ben Yedder, director of culture, childhood, youth, sports and social affairs at the municipality of Tunis.
In a declaration on national radio, Ben Yedder said that the swimming pool will now offer four daily swimming sessions, each of two hours, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The price of each session is set at 4 dinars.
The equipment can accommodate up to 75 people, spread over five corridors, 15 swimmers per corridor. It is also compulsory that an accompanist is present for any child under the age of 16.
But the pool is not limited to swimming. Other spaces have been set up to host cultural and sports events, as well as an original place for the celebration of weddings.
Regarding this last service, the rental rate of the place for a wedding ceremony is 2,500 dinars per hour between May and October, and 1,500 dinars the rest of the year.
Finally, a tennis court is also accessible to the public, with a price of 15 dinars for a morning session, and 25 dinars for an evening session.
