While temperatures are skyrocketing, Tunisia is experiencing an episode of marked heat this Thursday, especially in the far south of the country where mercury will reach up to 40 degrees.
This heat wave also affects the majority of regions with maximums varying between 31 and 37 ° C, and between 25 and 30 ° C in the North, the Center and the Southeast. On the heights of the west, temperatures will remain milder around 22 ° C.
But this heat is accompanied by notable atmospheric instability. Passenger clouds will gradually cover the north and the center of the country, especially in the afternoon, announcing the formation of stormy cells.
The latter could cause sometimes intense rains, locally accompanied by hail falls, especially in the regions of Kasserine, Kef, Siliana, Zaghouan and Kairouan.
This day promises to be marked by an intense heat cocktail, thunderstorms and violent winds: caution is in order, especially in areas at risk of bad weather.
