Tunisia is recording a notable increase in the number of Chinese tourists this year, according to the latest data published by the representation of the Tunisian National Tourism Office (ONTT) in Beijing. The dynamic accelerated particularly at the end of November 2025.
For the month of November alone, the country welcomed 3,147 Chinese visitors, an increase of 24.2% compared to the same period of 2024. The cumulative figures from January to November confirm this positive and stable trend: 25,293 tourists were recorded, compared to 21,386 over the same eleven months of 2024, which equates to growth of 18.3%.
Strengthen partnerships
This performance is attributed to the growing interest of Chinese travelers in Tunisia, perceived as a unique cultural and tourist destination. It also results from ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships and increase Tunisia’s visibility on the Chinese market.
The Ministry of Tourism, through the ONTT in Beijing, works to promote the diversity of the Tunisian offer in order to meet the expectations of this clientele, looking for varied experiences. These initiatives are part of a common desire to consolidate tourist and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
