The German embassy in Tunis announced this Friday the establishment of a new communication system called “FACIL”, intended to modernize the management of its consular section and visa applications. Objective: to make exchanges with the public simpler, faster and better organized.
A digital device to streamline exchanges
From now on, all requests for information regarding visas must be sent exclusively via an online form, available on the official website of the embassy. Old email addresses – (email protected) And (email protected) – should no longer be used.
According to the press release, this new system allows direct transmission of requests to the competent department, guaranteeing faster and more efficient processing. Messages sent to old addresses in the future will no longer be taken into account.
Dedicated pages and linguistic precision
To guide users, the embassy provides several separate contact pages, depending on the nature of the request. For questions about visas, the embassy makes available to the public a page in german And a page in French. For consular questions, a page in german is available.
The embassy also specifies that it cannot process forms or emails written in Arabic, as its team is not able to respond in this language.
