The humanitarian adventure takes a decisive turn. The breathless caravan, part the day before Avenue Habib Bourguiba in Tunis, has just crossed the Tunisian-Libyan border at the Jedir Ras, thus marking a new stage in its journey to the Gaza Strip.
This popular initiative, baptized ” Breathless ” – Reasilience – brings together hundreds of Tunisian and Algerian citizens, associative activists, journalists, doctors and artists, all engaged in a unique cause: Symbolically break the blockade imposed on Gaza and send humanitarian aid in Palestinian territory.
Indeed, this morning the first vehicles cross the border post, praised by a crowd of Libyans who came to express their solidarity, reports a Libyan journalist.
Composed of around sixty vehicles, the caravan carries drugs, medical equipment, basic necessitiesbut also messages of peace and support addressed to the Palestinians of Gaza. Coordination is ensured by a collective of NGOs, in connection with partners in Egypt and Palestine.
