Wael Nawar, a coordination member for Palestine, said that a specialized security unit had been dispatched to investigate the incident last night.
In a declaration granted today to Jawhara FMhe said that “the authorities took the case very seriously, contrary to initial precipitation. They collected all the information provided and the survey is now entrusted to a specialized unit. It is no longer allowed to disclose details on this subject, in order to respect the confidentiality of investigations ”.
Despite the incident that occurred yesterday, Nawar confirmed that the departure of the resistance flotilla, scheduled for Wednesday, will not be postponed for weather reasons. The departure will be made from the port of Sidi Bou Saïd at 4 p.m.
As a reminder, a fire broke out yesterday aboard a ship moored in the port. The Ministry of the Interior denied all targeting by a drone.
According to the ministry, the specialized security units have noted the traces of the fire on certain rescue vests, quickly controlled. No human or material damage was recorded, apart from the destruction of a few vests.
