The criminal chamber specializing in terrorism affairs at the Tunis court of first instance sentenced a woman of foreign nationality to ten years in prison with immediate execution. Deemed in absentia, she was continued to finance terrorism.
Her husband, initially involved in the same case, was finally acquitted, for lack of sufficient evidence. Arrested in 2024 at Tunis-Carthage Airport, he was the subject of a trial judgment in height in his country, sentenced him to 20 years in prison for similar facts. After having opposed, he was re -engaged and innocent. His lawyers presented the documents proving his acquittal, leading justice to pronounce a dismissal in his favor.
