The weather forecast for the month of June 2025 announces temperatures above seasonal norms in Tunisia.
According to the National Institute of Meteorology (INM), these conditions are attributed to meteorological phenomena such as heat domes, characterized by persistent high pressure systems which imprison hot air on a given region.
Climatic data indicate that June in Tunisia is generally hot and dry, with maximum average temperatures around 33 ° C and little precipitation.
However, the INM seasonal forecasting models suggest an elevation of temperatures above normal for this period, which could intensify heat waves.
Moreover, in a recent statement to Diwan FM, Amar Bahaba, climatologist, announced that Tunisia will record scorching temperatures exceeding 40 ° C during the second week of June 2025.
