Since Thursday, July 31, 2025, Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport has used innovative devices capable of transforming air humidity into drinking water. This initiative, carried by the Tunisian start-up Kumulus, aims to offer an ecological, economical and durable alternative to the consumption of bottled water.
These atmospheric generators work without being connected to the water network. They capture the ambient humidity, filter it, enrich it into minerals, then transform it into high quality drinking water.
Each device can produce on average 30 liters of water per daythus allowing considerably reduce the use of single -use plasticof Reduce CO₂ emissions linked to the transport and distribution of waterand to ensure a constant supply of healthy, mineral, certified and beneficial water for the health of airport staff.
In the coming days, the company Tav Tunisia also plans to equip the Monastir-Habib Bourguiba International Airport with these same devices, as part of its policy as social responsibility applied to all the airports it operates.
It should be noted Kumulus is a pioneering Tunisian start-up, having obtained a international recognition For its innovative water production solutions from air.
