Samira Souheili, director of the department of general statement and research at the National Heritage Institute, announced the discovery of a new archaeological site in the Jebel Selloum region.

In a statement granted to Jawhara FM, on the sidelines of his participation in the 8th edition of the international scientific conference on the history of Tunisian Sbâseb – an event in the context of the 34th edition of the month of heritage organized this year under the theme “Heritage and Art, Memory of Civilization” – it specified that the site dates back to Roman times and includes many vestiges and varied monuments, notably Olive, a necropolis, Roman thermal baths, an ancient village and several structures linked to water pipes.

Two registrations were also discovered: the first indicates the name of the owner of the estate, while the second welcomes visitors.
