Tunisia is currently under the effect of a meteorological episode marked by unstable weather, especially in the coastal regions of the North. Sometimes torrential rains have been recorded, in particular in the Cape Bon region, where precipitation has proven locally intense and accompanied by thunderstorms.
In the past 24 hours, the National Institute of Meteorology (INM) recorded 76 mm in Kélibia, 50 mm in Azmour, 36 mm in Bouficha, 34 mm in Korba and Hammamet, 31mm in Grombalia, 27 mm in Makthar, etc.
According to INM forecasts, these bad weather should gradually gain ground over the day. The afternoon will indeed see the extension of the rains to the rest of the regions of the north and the center, as well as locally towards the south of the country. Eastern regions, in particular, could experience rainy episodes supported, sometimes abundant.
In terms of temperatures, a notable drop is observed throughout the territory. The maximums vary between 15 and 21 ° C in the north and the center, descending up to 12 ° C on the heights of the west. Elsewhere, temperatures oscillate between 22 and 27 ° C, with a peak of up to 31 ° C in the southwest of the country.
Authorities call for vigilance, especially in areas likely to be affected by sudden floods or strong winds. Road users, farmers and sailors are invited to closely follow the evolution of meteorological bulletins.
