The Minister of Transport, Rachid Amri, decided this Tuesday, May 27, 2025 to dismiss Laaroussi Ben Faraj from his duties as director of the Charguia deposit, following the conclusions of the report of the Inspection and Investigation Commission concerning the fire of a bus belonging to the Tunis Transport Company, which occurred in the morning on Monday, May 26, 2025.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Transport, it was decided to order the general inspection and the Ministry’s investigation and accident office to continue investigations in order to determine the responsibilities. Disciplinary measures will be taken against any recognized person involved in this incident.
It was also decided to transmit the final results of the justice inspection report.
As soon as the incident was occurred, the Minister of Transport had responsible a team representing the ministry to submit the final report this Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
The decisions taken successively are part of the fight against the waste of public money, the degradation of public service and the negligence of the security of persons and goods, in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, according to the press release.
