The regional director of equipment of Tunis, Zouhair Azzouzi, announced this Monday, April 7, 2025 on Monday, April 7, 2025 that the cracks and the vacuum recently observed on the upper pedestrian crossing located in the RomaNa district, on the X radial road, are the consequence of the flight of joints and essential equipment to the structure.
In a declaration on national radio, Zouhair Azzouzi expressed his indignation at this act of vandalism, stressing that it was an infringement of the public heritage. He also specified that a report had been opened at the Rommana security center to investigate this incident.
However, the regional director reassured citizens saying that the structure of the upper passage was still stable and had no danger for users. He added that the Ministry of Transport is actively working on the purchase and installation of new equipment necessary to repair damage and secure the infrastructure.
This situation echoes that recently observed in the municipality of Kram, where a collapse of the field has also worried the inhabitants. Fortunately, this last incident was not due to an act of theft, but the citizens hope for a rapid repair of this failure to avoid any danger.
