MP Tarek Mehdi published, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, a video in which he reveals that altercations occurred between irregular migrants from Guinea Conakry and others from Côte d’Ivoire.

According to the deputy, the clashes left a dead and dozens of wounded, with the use of white weapons during the clashes.

In a statement, the deputy said that the two migrant camps are in the El Amra region, in the governorate of Sfax, not far from the secondary high school of El Amra.

He added that around eight injured were transported to hospital, while claiming to have noticed several dozen wounded during his visit to the scene.

The deputy also indicated that the victim was found near a mosque in the surroundings before the intervention of the authorities to recover the body. He alerted to the severity of the situation, stressing the trivialization of the use of white weapons.

Tarek Mehdi finally noted that he has become very easy, according to him, to use these weapons for endeavors the security of citizens and the country in Tunisia.
