The Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) announced the exceptional opening of banks and the national post office counters on Saturday March 29, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon. This measure aims to ensure the execution of cash deposit operations, withdrawal and manual exchange, for the sake of fluidity of transactions when approaching Eid El-Fitr.
For its part, the Central Bank will also open its counters, both at the main headquarters and in its various regional branches, during the same time slot. His intervention will relate to the treatment of payments.
In addition, the BCT has called for banks and posts to take all the necessary measures to guarantee the continuity of the withdrawal of species to automatic distributors as well as electronic payment throughout this period. In the event of a breakdown or interruption of services, rapid intervention is required to limit inconvenience to users.
