This is the big day for the 151,808 Tunisian candidates who are preparing to take the decisive stage of the baccalaureate. From tomorrow, Monday, June 2, the written tests of the main session will begin in 590 examination centers spread across the country.
The national examination will be held in two waves, on June 2, 3 and 4, then on June 9, 10 and 11. The results of this session will be proclaimed on Tuesday June 24, 2025. For those who will be adjourned, the control session will be held on June 30, July 1, 2 and 3, with a proclamation of the results scheduled for Sunday July 13.
Varied profiles, a 74 -year -old dean
Among the candidates, diversity is there. The youngest, 17 years old, appears in the “Computer Sciences” section. In contrast, the oldest, a 74 -year -old free candidate, is distinguished by his registration in the “sport” section, illustrating the universality and the opening of the Tunisian education system.
A total of 125,515 candidates come from public high schools, 18,351 came from the private sector, and 7942 are free candidates. Girls represent 62% of registrants, against 38% of boys, confirming a trend already observed in previous editions.
Compared to the 2024 session, the number of candidates increased by 11,602 students. The distribution by section shows a predominance of the economy and management section (49,229 candidates), followed by the experimental sciences (30,496), the letters (27.070), the Technical Sciences (20.455), the computer sciences (14.594), the mathematics (8231) and finally the Sport section (1724).
A reinforced system against fraud
Aware of the challenges posed by cheating in the digital age, the Ministry of Education has strengthened control measures this year, in particular against the use of electronic devices during the tests. Awareness campaigns were carried out with students and supervisors. In parallel, 30 correction centers, 27 deposit centers, as well as 4 Braille transcription centers are mobilized to guarantee the equity and accessibility of the examination.
