On Wednesday October 8, 2025, the second group of Tunisians who participated in the Al Soumoud Flotilla arrived at Tunis-Carthage international airport, after a long journey via Jordan and Turkey.
This contingent, made up of fifteen people, was welcomed by hundreds of citizens and activists of all ages. The crowd waved Tunisian and Palestinian flags, as well as portraits of prisoners, chanting slogans such as: “The destination is always Gaza!” » and “From Tunisia to Palestine, one people, one struggle!” »
The Tunisian delegation included: Syrine Ghrairi, Fida Othmani, Mouheb Snoussi, Mazen Abdelaoui, Louay Cherni, Ghassen Klaï, Khalil Lahbibi, Achraf Khouja, Jihed Ferjani, Nabil Chennoufi, Mohamed Amine Hamzaoui, Yassine Gaïdi, Wael Naouar, Ghassen Henchiri and MP Mohamed Ali.
Recall that these activists were arrested in early October by Israeli forces off the coast of Gaza, during the seizure of the Al Soumoud Flotilla, which aimed to break the blockade of the Gaza Strip. All were transferred to Ketziot prison, in the Negev desert, before being deported in waves to Jordan and Turkey.
The first Tunisian contingent, made up of ten activists, had already returned to Tunis on October 5, after a similar journey via Turkey. Welcomed by an emotional crowd and numerous media, they expressed their pride in having taken part in this humanitarian action and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
