Tunisia took part in the Hamburg Aviation Forum, one of the major sector events in Europe, in order to consolidate its positioning as a credible industrial and technological platform in aerospace.
This presence served as a showcase to promote national know-how to international players in the sector. The objective is clear: attract new investments and integrate sustainably into global value chains.
A targeted presence in a strategic forum
Organized over two days around the issues of resilience, digital transformation and sustainability, the Hamburg Aviation Forum brought together more than a thousand professionals from the entire global aeronautical ecosystem.
In this context, Tunisian participation was designed as a strategic positioning operation, focusing on direct exchanges and professional meetings.
The Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-Tunisia), through its representation in Germany, has increased contacts and B2B meetings in order to publicize Tunisian industrial capabilities and identify new partnership opportunities.
An ecosystem highlighted with GITAS
This approach was based on close coordination with the Tunisian Aeronautical and Space Industries Group (GITAS), whose strong presence made it possible to give collective visibility to the sector. The group’s stand constituted a focal point for discussions with clients, equipment manufacturers and industrial decision-makers.
The Tunisian delegation highlighted a sector now structured around engineering, industrial production and maintenance activities. Today, the national ecosystem brings together more than 80 companies, mainly export-oriented, and generates more than 20,000 direct jobs.
Human capital as a central argument
Beyond infrastructure and industrial capacities, emphasis was placed on the quality of Tunisian human capital. The speakers highlighted the role of engineering schools and specialized training centers, which supply the sector with qualified skills adaptable to international standards.
This argument constitutes one of the pillars of Tunisian attractiveness, in a global context marked by strong competition for talent and technological investments.
Heading for the Tunis Aerospace Meetings
The forum also served as a springboard for the promotion of the next Tunisia Aerospace Meetings, scheduled in Tunis from July 7 to 9, 2026. FIPA-Tunisia and GITAS took advantage of the event to invite international participants to this B2B convention, presented as a new highlight for connecting the Tunisian ecosystem to global markets.
The Tunisian participation was finally punctuated by the official visit of the Consul of Tunisia to Hamburg, who praised the importance of this presence in supporting the dynamic of development and influence of the national aerospace sector.
