A1 motorway: imminent abolition of the Sousse toll
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Minister of Equipment and Housing, Salah Zouari, announced that it will be proceeded, in the coming weeks, to the abolition of the Sousse toll station on the A1 motorway. This measure aims to improve the fluidity of traffic and reduce congestion on this very frequented section.

Concretely, the amount of the toll currently applied to Sousse will be integrated into that of the Hergla station, thus making it possible to unify the payment and accelerate the passage of vehicles. This decision is part of a national strategy for modernizing road infrastructure and improving the safety and comfort of users.

This measure also accompanies the finalization of the study on the evacuation of rainwater and road safety, with a view to a complete abandonment of the current toll barrier.
