The government’s heading, Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri, chaired, this Friday, March 28, 2025, a restricted ministerial council devoted to the examination of the economic program of the State.
When the meeting is opened, Zenzri underlined the urgency of current challenges, both national and international, requiring concrete and rapid measures to stimulate the economy. It insisted on the importance of a specific calendar for the implementation of these measures, which will be followed continuously.
It also emphasized the need to adapt the legislative framework to economic realities, while placing social policy at the center of government priorities. The development of institutional fabric, support for local businesses and job creation, especially for young graduates, are among the major axes of the program.
The government’s heading recalled the importance of close coordination between ministries and public structures to remove obstacles to the execution of reforms and unanswered projects. This approach aims to create a competitive economic environment, in line with the vision of President Kaïs Saïed, which advocates an acceleration of reforms to meet the immediate needs of citizens and build a stronger and inclusive economy.
The Council also addressed priority measures such as food sovereignty, water safety, as well as the acceleration of digital and energy transition. A detailed schedule for the implementation of projects has been discussed to guarantee their success on time.
