In a vast security operation deployed nationally, the Tunisian National Guard units arrested 840 individuals sought by the authorities. The operation, which also enabled the seizure of 187 reported vehicles, is part of a strengthened crime control strategy and the disturbance of public order.
In a statement published on Sunday evening, the Directorate General of the National Guard stressed that this intervention is part of the efforts supported to “preserve stability and neutralize the actively sought -after criminal elements”.
The police have reaffirmed their commitment to intensify their operations to guarantee security throughout Tunisian territory. They also call on the population to redouble their vigilance and to point out any suspicious activity by contacting the emergency number: 71 860 135.
