A voluntary return flight of 80 migrants in an irregular situation, present in El Amra in Sfax, was launched today towards their countries of origin: Mali, Sierra Leone and Côte d’Ivoire.

According to Colonel Imed Mémèche, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Security, this operation is a continuation of state efforts to limit irregular migration and is part of the voluntary return program implemented in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (OIM).

The colonel stressed, in a declaration to Mosaic, that a voluntary return flight for migrants in an irregular situation from Tunisia to their countries of origin will now be scheduled each week.
