The Ministry of Education is preparing to organize one of the most selective competitions in basic education in Tunisia. From June 16 to 18, 2025, 64,065 sixth year pupils will pass the tests of the access competition for pilot colleges (6th grade competition), session 2025, announced this Friday Mohamed Mili, director general of exams, during a press conference held at the headquarters of the ministry in Tunis.

These candidates came from a total of 213,508 students enrolled in the sixth year of basic education across the country. The competition, which remains optional, is often reserved for the most efficient students, motivated by the prospect of integrating the pilot colleges, renowned for their supervision and their academic requirement.

The number of participants in this session is up 5,113 students compared to the previous year (58,952 candidates in 2024). The competition also remains marked by a strong female participation, with 35,127 girls registered (55% of the total), against 28,938 boys.

Students will be in competition for 3,850 places available in pilot colleges for the 2025-2026 school year. The results proclamation is scheduled for Sunday, July 4, 2025.
