Tunisia continues to distinguish itself in the digital field, with an Internet access rate reaching 84.9 % in 2025. This figure marks an increase of 5 % compared to the previous year, progress awarded to the country’s supported efforts to improve its digital infrastructure.

According to the Medianet Insight Day 2025 report, Tunisia now ranks 4ᵉ rank in Africa, behind countries like Morocco (92.2 %), Libya (88.5 %) and Seychelles (87.4 %), but is ahead of the continent’s giants like Egypt (81.9 %) and South Africa (78.9 %). This result testifies to the effectiveness of national investments in technological infrastructure in recent years.

However, Tunisia remains far behind certain Gulf countries where connectivity exceeds 99 %, placing the region led in a different dynamic. In North Africa, Tunisia is a leader with a rate of connectivity higher than the regional average of 73 %.

This leap forward in the digital field strengthens the position of Tunisia in the digital era, a key sector for its economic development and its integration into the global economy.
