The criminal chamber specializing in terrorism affairs at the Tunis court of first instance pronounced a heavy sentence of 37 years in prison with immediate execution against a flight terrorist, targeted by a complaint filed by the deputy Fatma Mseddi.
According to elements of the file, the parliamentarian had accused the individual, currently on the run, of incentive to the murder, of Takfitist speeches (accusation of apostasy) and provocation to violence.
In response to these accusations, justice ruled in absentia: twenty years in prison for incitement to the murder, twelve years for belonging to a terrorist organization, and five years for Takfirist speech.
In addition to the prison sentence, the Court ordered the submission of the sentence to administrative surveillance for five years after the end of his sentence, if he were to be arrested and imprisoned.
Fatma MSEDDI, deputy in Parliament, had already drawn attention to the violent abuses of certain extremist speeches, in particular via her complaint against this individual, which she accuses of having explicitly called for violence and assassination.
Note that initially the information was presented by many media as a condemnation of a citizen for publications against a deputy.
