The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced, last week, the opening of a call for candidates for 30 scholarships intended for Tunisian students in 3ᵉ year of the engineering cycle.
These scholarships, offered as part of a partnership with Mitacs (Canada), will make it possible to carry out the end-of-studies project (PFE) over the year 2025-2026. The deadline for deposit is set for September 17, 2025.
A two -phase program
The ministry detailed the program’s course:
- February – 1826: Theoretical part and preparation of internship subjects in Tunisian universities.
- May – October 2026: Practical work in Canadian laboratories, supervised by Tunisian and Canadian teachers.
The scholarships cover educational costs, professional workshops and scientific supervision. In addition, accommodation in Canada will be provided by Mitacs.
Eligibility conditions and criteria
Only students registered in the third year of the engineering cycle in public establishments for the academic year 2025-2026 can apply. Applicants must submit their file exclusively online via the DGE website; And to present a written agreement from their supervisor and the director of their establishment.
The ministry also recalls that these scholarships cannot be combined with another national or international aid for the PFE.
Reinforced Tuniso-Canadian cooperation
These scholarships are a continuation of university cooperation between Tunisia and Canada. They aim to promote academic mobility, to open access to international research networks and to offer future Tunisian engineers a high -level scientific experience.
