The Ministry of Education has unveiled the official evaluation schedule for the 2025-2026 school year, confirming a particularly busy first quarter.
Summary homework begins in the first week of December in middle and high schools, with alternation between periods of course maintenance and suspension. The ministry also regulates the deadlines for correction, submission of grades and the organization of class councils.
A first trimester spread over two exam sequences
The first term summary assignments will be held between December 1 and 6 with classes continuing, then from December 8 to 13 with classes interrupted.
Teachers will have to correct the papers and communicate the results between December 15 and 20, without suspension of classes.
The deadline for submitting grades is December 20, while class councils for the first term will take place from January 5 to 10.
Second trimester: a compact calendar between February and March
The control assignments must be completed and corrected before February 14. The summary assignments will then take place from February 23 to 28 with classes maintained, then from March 2 to 7 with interruption of classes.
The corrections run from March 9 to 14, with submission of averages set for March 14. This term’s class councils will be held from March 30 to April 1.
Third trimester: sustained pace for ordinary classes
For the 7th and 8th basic year levels as well as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd secondary years, the control and correction homework must be finalized before May 9. The summary assignments take place from May 13 to 19 with courses maintained, then from May 20 to 26 with suspension of courses. Corrections are planned between June 22 and 24.
Specific organization for exam classes
For the 9th year, the dates of the checks and summaries are aligned with those of the other levels, but the correction is more strictly regulated, to be carried out on May 29 and 30. For the 4th secondary year, the control assignments must be completed before May 2.
The summary assignments will take place on May 6, 7, 8, 11, 12 and 13, with corrections on May 15 and 16.
Possible adaptation in case of coincidence with Eid El-Idha
The ministry specifies that if the tests scheduled for May 26 coincide with the Eid El-Idha holidays, they will automatically be postponed to May 28.
