On Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the end of the 18ᵉ session of the Tunisian-Egyptian mixed higher commission, the Tunisian government’s heading, Sara Zaafrani Zenzri, and the Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly supervised the new administrative capital of Cairo the signing of several memorandums of understanding and executive programs.
Cooperation in sport and youth
The two governments signed:
- An executive cooperation program in the sports field for 2026-2027.
- An executive program of cooperation in the field of youth for 2026-2027.
These agreements aim to strengthen exchanges, training and joint initiatives between young people and sport players in the two countries.
Health, social protection and consumers
Other agreements relate to:
- Cooperation in the health and medical sciences between Tunisian and Egyptian health ministries.
- An executive program of cooperation in matters of youth and social affairs.
- A memorandum on consumer protection and market regulation, in order to harmonize practices and strengthen citizens’ confidence.
Economic development and trade
The two parties also signed:
- A memorandum for the promotion and development of exports.
- A memorandum on supporting small and medium -sized enterprises (SMEs) and microentreprises, aimed at stimulating investment and entrepreneurship between the two countries.
Diplomacy and training
Finally, an agreement was signed between the Tunisian diplomatic academy and the Egyptian diplomatic studies institute, strengthening cooperation in training and exchanges of diplomatic and consular experts.

The ceremony ended with the signing by Mostafa Madbouly and Sara Zafrani Zenzri from the minutes of the 18ᵉ session of the Tuniso-Egyptian mixed commission, thus formalizing all the agreements adopted during this meeting.
