The criminal chamber specializing in the financial corruption affairs of the Tunis court of first instance rendered yesterday, Thursday, April 3, 2025, a verdict of 10 years in prison against Imed Trabelsi, the brother-in-law of the former president, in three cases linked to the embezzlement of public funds and to administrative and financial abuses, according to the case of the case and investigations.
Imed Trabelsi appeared yesterday before the court and maintained his innocence.
As a reminder, the criminal chamber specializing in the financial corruption affairs of the Tunis court of first instance had previously condemned Imad Trabelsi to 8 years in prison and to a fine of 3 million dinars, for facts concerning the induced obtaining of advantages by a public official or assimilated and damages caused to the administration.
