A book written by journalists from the Washington Post, Yasmeen Abutaleb and Damian Paletta, reveals that the former President of the United States, Donald Trump planned to isolate the contaminated Americans abroad abroad in the Guantanamo Bay base, where suspects of terrorism are detained.
According to this new book, “Nightmare Scenario: Inside The Trump Administration’s Response To The Pandemic That Changed History”, Donald Trump insisted that the United States should not “import the virus” and he has, for a moment, planned to trade the contaminated Americans, back in the United States to Guantanamo.
In February 2020, when the United States was not yet affected by the Cavid-19 pandemic, the White House officials gathered to decide the fate of the Americans contaminated abroad.
Some have suggested bringing them back to the country to treat them to American hospitals. But Donald Trump had the idea of sending them to Guantanamo, reveal the authors. And if in the White House, the idea was immediately rejected, Donald Trump did not hesitate to mention it a second time.
This book is to be released in next week in the United States. And the two journalists who wrote it spoke with more than 180 people knowing Donald Trump’s response to Coronavirus.
