Tuesday, September 2 in the city center of Marseille, a man armed with knives and a baton injured at least five people, one seriously, before being shot by the police. The suspect, a Tunisian national in a regular situation, had just been expelled from his hotel.
Expelled from his hotel on rue des Petites-Maries, the man returned soon after armed with two knives and a baton. He first stabbed a roommate on the side – this victim is most seriously affected and was hospitalized in absolute emergency.
He then attacked it to the hotel manager, then to the latter’s son whom he reached in the back. Both are in relative emergency, their days would not be in danger.
The assailant continued his race in a neighboring snack, where he tried to attack the manager and customers. Fun, he continued his race, hitting passers -by with a baton. The police intervened quickly and, faced with his refusal to surrender, opened fire. The attacker died despite the attempts to resuscitate.

Profile of the assailant
According to Le Figaro, the man called himself Abdelkader D., aged 35. He had to appear soon before justice for provocation to hatred.
Although unwakened, it was known for its psychological instability: it had been expelled from a mosque for “aggressive words” and was the subject of psychiatric follow -up recommended by territorial intelligence.
