A few days after the Chinese spy ball case shot down by the American army, a new ball was eliminated Friday above Alaska. The size of a small car, its nature and its origin are not yet known.
The United States, on the order of President Joe Biden, killed a “high altitude flying object” above Alaska on Friday at midday.
This “object”, which was “the size of a small car”, and therefore smaller than the Chinese ball of last week, was evolving at 40,000 feet (12 km) and posed “a threat to the safety of air traffic,” said John Kirby, spokesperson for the Blanche National Security Council.
In the process, the spokesperson for the Pentagon, Patrick Ryder, said that the object had been shot at 1:45 p.m. (7:45 p.m. Paris time).
The United States has followed the object in the last 24 hours. Hunters of the northern command of the United States were able to approach and determine that there was no pilot aboard the machine, which was shot by an F22 via an Air-Air Aim-9x Sidewinder missile.
According to the Pentagon, the military should be able to recover debris from frozen waters. At this stage, Washington did not determine whether the object belonged to a State or a private entity.
Last week, two Chinese “spy balls” flew over the United States and Latin America. Washington had decided, in the process of canceling the trip of Antony Blinken to China.
