Many Tunisians demonstrated, on Saturday May 15, 2021, through the country their unwavering support for the Palestinians at the call of the several political parties, associations and organizations.
This demonstration, which coincided with the 73 anniversary of the NAKBA was imposing, especially in Tunis where the march was part of the statue of Ibn Khaldoun, before the Cathedral of Tunis, to the January 14 place, in the middle of a reinforced security device.
“Let us free al-qods”, “With my soul and my blood, I defend al-aqsa”, “a law incriminating normalization”, such were the slogans chanted by the demonstrators who mobilized to express their anger and their revolt against the Zionist aggression.
At Avenue Bourguiba in Tunis, the demonstrators have brandished banners where we could read “Save Cheikh Jarrah”, a district of Al Quds-Est-where Palestinian families are threatened with expulsion for the benefit of Israeli settlers. It was the fate of these inhabitants who sparked the uprising of the Palestinians in Gaza.
