Through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tunisia expressed its astonishment when the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ethiopia had condemned the position of Tunisia in the declaration of the Security Council, which calls for Addis Ababa to take over the negotiations of the Renaissance dam crisis and to achieve a tripartite agreement.
The Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had declared in a statement that Tunisia made a historical error by requesting a position from the Security Council on this subject.
This declaration, considers the Tunisian ministry, challenges Tunisia’s sincere and permanent commitment to defend African issues internationally, and before the United Nations Security Council.
“The declaration was presented by Tunisia as part of its commitment to the African and Arabic scale, as well as in the context of its responsibility to the Security Council to serve peace and promote the values of dialogue and negotiation,” it adds.
“Throughout the negotiations on the draft declaration, Tunisia led contacts with all the parties concerned, as well as with the members of the Security Council at different levels to bring the points of view and put the region away from any tension. »»
