Tunisia praises South Africa’s efforts

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a press release this Friday, January 26, 2024, praising the efforts made by the Republic of South Africa after the decision rendered by the International Court of Justice of The Hague concerning the temporary measures which must be taken against the Zionist State.

It should be noted that the CIJ called, in its verdict, to the immediate abstention of all the crimes of genocide against the Palestinians, who constitute blatant violations of the international convention to prevent and punish the crime of genocide. The resolution also calls on the Zionist entity to ensure and guarantee the provision of humanitarian services and emergency aid to Gaza.

Tunisia considers this historic decision as a very important step towards the condemnation of the serious crimes committed and continues to be committed by the Israeli occupying entity against the Palestinian people, and a victory for justice, the human high values, the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

The MAE has renewed, in its press release its farm support for the Palestinian people in its just and valiant struggle to end injustice, which has been going on for far too many years now.
