Tunisia expressed its “full solidarity with the Palestinian people who lead a rough fight to recover its occupied territories and recover its legitimate rights, imprescriptible and inalienable rights”.
It was in these terms that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed, in a statement, the official reaction of Tunisia in the face of Israeli escalation in the occupied territories and to the incessant violations perpetrated against the Palestinian people, the last of which, the assault against the city of Jenine and its camp in the West Bank.
“Faced with this dangerous escalation, Tunisia appeals to the address of the international community with a view to acting as quickly as possible and assuming its responsibilities in the face of these repeated assaults,” added the statement published on Friday January 27, 2023.
While denouncing these attacks and abuses, Tunisia recalls that these practices constitute a blatant violation of international treaties and pacts, just as they constitute an attack on the principles of international humanitarian law. “
The Israeli army, police and security agency carried out a massacre of Palestinians on Thursday in the refugee camp in the city of Jénine, in the West Bank, killing nine people. At least 20 people were injured, four of whom are in critical condition.
Another person died in the clashes that continued on Thursday evening. It is by far the deadliest raid of this type for years.
Seven people were killed and ten others injured in a shooting yesterday on the northern outskirts of Al Quds. Israeli police qualified the terrorist attack shootout, adding that they had occurred in a synagogue.
