Tunisia firmly condemned the intrusion of an Israeli minister on the mosques esplanade in Al-Aqsa.
“This is a blatant provocation of the Palestinian people and Muslims around the world,” reads a statement published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In this context, the Department called on the international community to fully assume its moral and legal responsibilities towards the Palestinians and to act, in an emergency, to prevent such climbing practices.
Tunisia has reaffirmed its support for Palestine in its legitimate fight against the Israeli occupation, reiterating its permanent support for the Palestinian people in the defense of its legitimate rights, including the establishment of an independent state with al-Quds for capital.
Accompanied by security forces, the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itmar Ben-Gvir went to the Mosques Esplanade in Al-Aqsa on Tuesday.
