On his Twitter account, American president Donald Trump announced what he called “a historic peace agreement” between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
It is a “spectacular breakthrough”, commented Donald Trump, describing this normalization as “historical peace agreement between our two great friends”. At first glance, it would be an official normalization of relations between the two countries.
For its part, the Reuters agency explained that “Israel and the United Arab Emirates announced on Thursday a peace agreement presented as history, negotiated under the leadership of the United States and which must lead to a complete normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries of the Middle East”.
The agreement provides in particular that Israel suspends the application of its sovereignty on several vest zones of which it mentioned the annexation, several managers of the White House told Reuters.
