Three new cases of thrombosis and two deaths in France

At the heart of the controversy, the Astrazeneca vaccine is still talking about him. In France, three new cases of thrombosis, blood clots, atypical associated with the Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccine occurred on March 19 and 25, according to the Medicines Agency (ANSM).

A thrombosis is a clot in a blood vessel and obstructing it. The clot can form in a vein or in an artery.

Two people died. Since the start of vaccination, it has been “twelve cases, including four deaths in total”, of these rare thrombosis which have occurred in France, the ANSM said on Friday April 2, reports the AFP agency.

Also according to the same source, the agency “confirms again the very rare occurrence of this thrombotic risk” in people vaccinated by the Astrazeneca vaccine “.

In Tunisia, health professionals have refused to receive the Astrazeneca vaccine. According to the Secretary General of the National Union of Health Professionals Mohamed Aouinet this vaccine arouses great concerns, especially as a number of Western countries had prohibited its use.

The Minister of Health Faouzi Mahdi said on Friday April 2 that the pharmacology monitoring committee under the scientific committee against the coronavirus recommended the use of the Astrazeneca vaccine, especially for people over the age of 60.
