The United Kingdom will send surveillance planes and two Royal Navy ships in the eastern Mediterranean in order to “support Israel,” said the British government.
The plane will start patrols tomorrow to “track down threats to regional stability such as weapons transfer to terrorist groups”.
The package includes surveillance means, helicopters, P8 planes and a marine company.
Onydeclared British authorities that military support “would prevent a new escalation”.
As part of these plans, a royal navy working group will be transferred to the region next week to support humanitarian efforts, the same source added.
