The Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said a television speech in the evening of Wednesday, April 1, 2020 during which he addressed his people.
A speech during which he reiterated his appeal to the people to respect the decreed confinement and recalled that it was vital that everyone cooperates in the fight against the coronavirus and respects these confinement measures.
But the surprise was great when he was declared having given the police and the army to shoot down all those who violate confinement.
