The Lebanese army announced on Monday that it had retaliated with bombing shots launched from Syria on the Lebanese border, on the night of Sunday to Monday.
She also handed over the bodies of three Syrians, killed in clashes between Lebanese inhabitants, mostly Shiites and close to Hezbollah, and members of the Syrian forces.
According to a military statement, two Syrians died and a third was injured near the locality of Al-Qasr, in Caza de Baalbeck-Hermel.
The latter died of his injuries after being transported to hospital. The Lebanese army said it had given the remains of the three victims to the Syrian party and took strengthened security measures in the region.
The army also reacted to bombings aimed at several Lebanese villages, intensifying its military deployments and using appropriate means to respond to attacks. She stressed that exchanges were underway between its officials and the Syrian authorities to restore security and guarantee the stability of the border area.
