The International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved, this Thursday, September 28, an ease of resilience and sustainability (FRD) in the amount of around 1.3 billion US dollars for Morocco.
This, in order to support the country’s transition to a greener economy and help strengthen its preparation and resilience to disasters.
IMF’s general manager Kristalina Georgieva said that the international institution has concluded an agreement with the level of experts to provide this long -term funding intended to consolidate the kingdom’s resilience to mitigate the impact of climate change.
The IMF official said that the loan required the approval of the IMF board of directors, but that the examination by the council would probably take place in about two weeks.
